What size should my aquarium be? PDF Print E-mail

Always remember that the bigger the aquarium, the easier it is to maintain

Larger volumes of  water are less easily disrupted by small fluctuations to water parameters than smaller volumes because the change has more area in which to dissipate, thus, with larger volumes of water the parameters will stay fairly constant.

Aside from the parameters, the fish that you have in mind will also need to be considered. Most marine fish require substantial territories to defend.

When using a nano tank, you should always bear in mind that only two or three fishes can be kept, this will not overload the bio system, and you will have a tank with very constant parameters once matured.
